The marketing of Baru Nuts is being made by a few small businesses noticing the opportunity, and you are the lucky one that arrived here and got to know this special treasure before the majority of other people looking for good food. Baru is technically a seed (like pumpkin seed) but because of it's crunchiness and generous size and flavor, it's marketed as a Nut, specially because it is roasted and tastes more like a Nut than like a common seed. For that reason as well Baru is so nutrient-dense (because seeds are really nutrient-dense in general).
